Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the EdLoop platform, website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a school district or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.
Description of Services
EdLoop provides feedback infrastructure for K-12 school districts, including AI-assisted feedback analysis, student learning profiles, PLC reporting tools, family engagement narratives, and related instructional support features. The specific features available to your organization depend on your subscription tier and contractual agreement.
User Accounts and Responsibilities
Access to the EdLoop platform requires an authorized account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and your organization's policies.
- Notifying EdLoop immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Data Ownership and Licensing
Your data remains yours. EdLoop does not claim ownership of any content, student data, or educational records uploaded to or generated within the platform. You grant EdLoop a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Services as described in your agreement.
EdLoop's software, platform design, documentation, and all related intellectual property remain the exclusive property of EdLoop, Inc. These Terms do not grant you any rights to EdLoop's intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Services during your subscription period.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any purpose other than legitimate educational activities.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or related systems.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
- Share access credentials with unauthorized individuals.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
Service Availability
EdLoop strives to maintain 99.9% uptime for the platform. However, the Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide reasonable advance notice of planned maintenance whenever possible. EdLoop is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.
Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement as outlined in the applicable contract. Upon termination, EdLoop will delete or return all customer data, including student education records, within 60 days and provide written certification of data destruction.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EdLoop's total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by your organization in the twelve months preceding the claim. EdLoop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to contracting organizations at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
