About EdLoop
Closing the Feedback Loop for Every Learner
EdLoop is the infrastructure layer that connects authentic classroom work to actionable insight for teachers, leaders, and families. We exist to make feedback visible, longitudinal, and useful across every level of K-12.
Our Story
Why EdLoop Exists
EdLoop started with a simple observation. As a classroom teacher, I spent my weekends grading student work and uncovering patterns in learning. I knew which students were growing, which were struggling, and what instructional shifts would make the biggest difference. But when I walked into my Monday PLC meeting, none of that insight made it into the conversation. The meeting ran on benchmark data from six weeks ago.
As I moved from the classroom to instructional coaching, then to assistant principal, and eventually to district leadership, the same gap followed me at every level. Teachers generate rich, authentic evidence of learning every single day. But that evidence stays locked in gradebooks, filing cabinets, and individual memory. It rarely reaches the PLC, the principal, the family, or the student in a structured, actionable way.
As a parent, I felt it from the other side too. I wanted to understand what my child was actually learning, not just see a grade. I wanted insight, not a number.
I built EdLoop to close that loop. Not by adding another platform to the teacher's workflow, but by building infrastructure that transforms the work teachers already do into insight that flows where it needs to go: from the classroom to the PLC, from the school to the district office, from the teacher to the family.
EdLoop is not another assessment tool. It is feedback infrastructure: the connective tissue that makes learning visible, longitudinal, and actionable for everyone who needs to see it.

Chris Waston
Founder & CEO
Chris is a former classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and district leader who spent over a decade in K-12 education. He saw the feedback gap firsthand across dozens of schools and districts: teachers generating rich insight about student learning every day, but that insight never reaching the people who needed it most. As a parent himself, he understood the other side of the equation too. EdLoop was born from that frustration and the belief that infrastructure, not another app, is what K-12 needs to close the loop.
Our Values
What we believe
These are not aspirational statements on a wall. They are the decision-making framework we use every day.
Student-Centered
Every feature, every decision, every line of code is measured by one question: does this improve outcomes for students?
Evidence-Driven
We build on research, not hype. Our product decisions are grounded in what the evidence says about feedback, learning, and instructional improvement.
Educator-First
Teachers are not our users. They are our partners. We design to reduce their burden, not add to it. If it creates more work, we do not ship it.
Privacy by Design
Student data protection is not a compliance checkbox. It is a design principle that shapes our architecture, our policies, and our culture from day one.
